Choosing a car for resale: a practical checklist
Information guide — no real offers or live market prices on this page.
Start with the local market
Decide where you intend to sell. Compare real listings for vehicles with similar year, engine, mileage and equipment. An asking price is not a confirmed transaction price, and no model guarantees profit in every country.
Assess saleability and costs
Consider access to servicing and parts, vehicle condition, documents and comparable listings. Record transport, registration, repairs and preparation, plus any other costs that actually apply.
Test a conservative scenario
Recalculate with a lower selling price and higher expenses. Do not decide on brand alone. This website’s vehicle examples demonstrate the tools; they are not recommendations or a market ranking.
